And it really messed with me. Initially we all thought it was a “hit and run (which was pretty bad) but it turns out the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman happened to be lady with her child in the back seat. She was so traumatized by hitting this lady that she had to pull over. We were all hysterical… Like I said, it’s still messing with me as we speak. I know she’s gonna be ok but this reinforced some valuable lessons my parents have taught me over the years. We must all be careful. Pay attention when you’re driving, and don’t be distracted when you’re crossing busy intersections. Your life is a gift, treat it as so. I don’t know this lady one bit but her being hurt, hurts me. I’m connected to her humanity. People are important. You are important. Love you guys. No really, I do.
May Day
So I celebrated with one of my favorite girls for her birthday at Up (restaurant) this past weekend and it was wonderful. (Stylist) Adrienne marked another year of womanhood by having a lavish dinner with close friends. We shared stories, reminisced, laughed and loved. I’m so blessed to know strong young women that are devoted to their purpose and contributing to the world in their own special way. Happy birthday again Adrienne, we love love love you darling!
